Almost everything in French is identified as either Masculine or Feminine, either living or non living things.
In French Language , there are two articles, Definite and Indefinite 

Definite - Le, La, Les

''Le'' is used for Masculine words

e.g Le stylo - pen

      Le mur - wall

      Le sac - bag

''La'' is used for Feminine words

La maison - House

La Chambre - Room

La Table - Table

''Les'' is used for plural of Masculine and Feminine words

Les stylos

Les murs

Les sacs

Les maisons

Les chambres

Les tables
